Welcome

Whether working from my office in downtown Boulder Colorado or on zoom, I work with men and women who may be working through difficult times, suffering from grief, trauma, depression, anxiety or experiencing life transitions.

Life transitions may look different for different people. A transition may occur when there is loss and grief that comes from a number of things that include; divorce, empty nest, changing jobs or even moving. Often these life transitions are wrapped up in a need to feel safe, connected to others as well as ourselves. Intertwined with that transition is feeling like someone has their place in the world, perhaps a life purpose and something that makes them feel fulfilled.

Often people don’t know they are in the midst of a transition or grappling with something, they just say they are feeling anxious, or depressed, unmotivated, lonely or even angry.

As a psychotherapist I am often looking to find the hidden metaphors in one’s life-story and help to contextualize the journey that an individual may be on. Whether someone is struggling with addiction, divorce, depression or anxiety — these things all touch upon core parts of our stories, and sometimes core wounds that we carry with us.

I invite clients to poke around my site and read some of what I say about fairy tales, myths and dreams. I believe that these things often shape our lives, or live metaphorically in our life. They are expressions of where we come from culturally, but they can also be intertwined with the story we find ourselves within.

I try to follow some of these stories with the intent of understanding some of what may be beneath, and help explore those things so that people can find clarity and healing. The goal is to help contextualize some of your story and how connected you may be to the story, the myth, and the fairy tales that we are all part of.
